A Little Bit Of History

The Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church is 84 years old and it has been blessed with outstanding leadership. Throughout its earlier years, the church has had several honorable men to lead it. In more recent times, the late Rev. W. O. Everett faithfully served Christ here for 36 years! Following his demise, the church called Rev. Don A. Washington Sr. as its new Senior Pastor in January 2008, who continues in a proud legacy for honoring our God through service in His Church!

I am delighted to welcome you to our website! It is our purpose to provide you with some information about our church and its ministries. Our church’s objective is to serve and minister to people of all ages and backgrounds through the blood of Jesus which was shed for many. We believe that Jesus Christ is our only salvation and that He is the redeemer for anyone who would ever believe in Him. We also believe that through His Gospel we have our supreme example for guidance in Christian living and that our lives should represent Him to the fullest!
